biography

Abraham is an experienced Singapore court advocate and counsel in international arbitrations across Asia. He is also an accredited arbitrator and mediator.

Abraham established Providence Law Asia LLC in 2012 as a boutique international arbitration and litigation practice. Prior to that he practiced international arbitration and litigation for 14 years at Drew & Napier LLC, where he was a Director in the Dispute Resolution Department and co-Head of the South Asia Desk.

MAHDEV MOHAN

Mahdev specializes in international law and regulation in business transactions. He has worked with Senior Counsel to represent sovereigns, multi-nationals and other clients on a range of disputes, including commercial arbitration, commercial crime, and banking law. He completed his Master’s at Stanford Law School on a Fulbright Scholarship, and is an Asst. Professor of Law at the Singapore Management University. He is also an Associate Tenant of Temple Garden Chambers, one of the leading sets in the UK, and is a Nominated Member of Parliament (“NMP”).

Having worked at two of Singapore’s ‘big-four’ firms, Nawaz has a well-developed understanding of his clients’ strategic needs and the experience required to ensure that those needs are met. He is a specialist in restructuring and corporate insolvency matters and has also represented both institutional and individual clients in complex commercial and corporate disputes.

Vincent specialises in cross-border private M&A, private equity and venture capital investments, and related corporate matters across South East Asia. He has represented both corporate clients and family offices from various industry sectors to achieve customised, commercially driven solutions. He has worked at leading firms in Malaysia and Singapore, and was an Associate Director with an international boutique firm headquartered in Singapore prior to joining the Providence team.

Danny started his career as a tax and corporate lawyer at an international law firm and has now re-invented himself as versatile disputes lawyer, specializing in the areas of complex corporate commercial disputes, private welath, tax and trust disputes and criminal law.  Danny is highly communicative and endeavours to consistently deliver high-quality legal services to every client.

ASIYAH ARIF

Asiyah has been involved in a diverse and comprehensive range of matters – extending from defending companies from the enforcement of foreign judgments for US$2.6 billion, to an arbitration proceedings against a government, complex construction law adjudications and urgent tenancy disputes. Prior to joining the firm, Asiyah was a moot-court champion who represented Singapore Management University in some of the most prestigious competitions in the world.
