CJ’s Cup 2024

Providence Law was thrilled to make our debut appearance at the annual CJ’s Cup 2024 on Saturday, 27 April.

The CJ’s Cup is an annual charity football tournament organised by the Singapore Academy of Law to raise funds for organisations such as the Singapore After-Care Association to support the rehabilitation and reintegration of ex-offenders.

This year, the event started with an Exhibition Match between Law Society Women’s Team (featuring guest player and local football legend Fandi Ahmad) and an all-star team from the Singapore Academy of Law led by Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Law Mr Edwin Tong SC.

More than 20 teams from local and international law firms, law schools and legal organisations then took to the field to show off their footwork. Providence Law Asia LLC’s team played against teams from Singapore Legal Service, Temasek Holdings, SMU Yong Pung How School of Law, Eversheds Harry Elias, and Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP, with WongPartnership LLP narrowly beating SMU to clinch the ultimate prize.

Kudos to the organisers on a well-executed event. We look forward to making a comeback and supporting this wonderful initiative in 2025.
