Internal investigations in fund misappropriation case result in US$2m+ in claims
Acting for a Singapore company and a Kazakh subsidiary in a Singapore High Court trial, Providence Law sued the Deputy CEO and CFO of the Kazakh operations on the grounds of misappropriation of funds, deceit, and breaches of duties. Led by Managing Director Abraham Vergis, internal investigations by Providence Law resulted in the obtaining of freezing orders in the Singapore High Court. The allowed a successful obtainment of a final judgment for the entirety of the US$2m+ claims.
The opposing parties were represented at various stages by a number of Singapore’s leading law firms.
