Novel points of law canvassed in S$10m+ High Court suit
Providence Law’s unique strategy paved new roads in Singapore’s legal framework with regards to the classification of work undertaken by liquidators. Acting for two Segregated Customers of a parent company, Providence Law challenged the application by the liquidators of the parent company for payment of over S$10m in fees from the Segregated Customers’ Funds. These funds are pool funds held on trust of the Segregated Customers.
Successful litigation by Providence Law allowed new points of law to be introduced, and favorably resolved the dispute between parties.
