The concept of inherent powers allows arbitrators to act flexibly and make necessary decisions to ensure a fair and efficient process, even if such powers are not present in the applicable law or the agreement of the parties. What decisions can arbitrators make within the framework of their inherent powers? What are their limits?
Our Managing Director, Abraham Vergis, S.C., will address these questions at the session “From Implicit to Explicit: Understanding Arbitrators’ Inherent Powers” at the Russian International Arbitration Congress (RIAC) 2025 on 14 May 2025, held in The Carlton, Moscow.
He will be joined by leading arbitration practitioners Fatima Balfaqeeh, Bernardo M. Cremades, Jr., David Goldberg, and Lilia Klochenko, alongside moderator Maxim Kulkov.
