Liu Enning

刘恩宁

Enning is a Counsel with the firm. He has assisted in various corporate and commercial disputes, with a focus on matters involving minority oppression and shareholder disputes.

Enning graduated from Durham University with a LLB (Hons). During his time in Durham University, Enning was an active debater and participated in various intervarsity debate competitions and won the Oxford Intervarsity in his first year.

Enning is fluent in English and Mandarin.

Professional Experience

  • Assisted in a construction arbitration between a main contractor and a sub-contractor. The claim sum was approximately S$3.5 million.
  • Assisting in an arbitration between two foreign pharmaceutical companies. The arbitration is before the SIAC and is conducted in Chinese.
  • Assisting in a setting aside application that is heard before the SICC. The matters centers around an award of over USD 100 million.
  • Assisting in defending a claim for a multi-billion biofuel company. The action is presently set for trial before the General Division of the High Court.
  • Assisting in the defence of the main shareholder in a minority oppression suit, which involved the successful discharge of an interim injunction.
  • Assisted in a matter where the receivers opposed the appointment of judicial managers over a group of logistics company. The judicial management application was successfully opposed.
  • Assisted in a contentious moratorium hearing involving multiple cryptocurrency exchange companies.
  • Assisted in a matter which involved the appointment of judicial managers over a cryptocurrency exchange company.
