丘兆益

Timothy is a Counsel with the Firm. He has represented high-net worth individuals, domestic and foreign enterprises, and multinational corporations in a diverse spectrum of legal matters encompassing international commercial arbitration, commercial litigation, insolvency, and cases involving business-related offences.

Timothy graduated from the National University of Singapore with an L.L.B (Hons) in 2022.

Timothy is fluent in English and Mandarin.

Professional Experience

  • Assisted in acting for a Bruneian-based marine oil and gas company in a S$14 million claim for breach of a charterparty agreement. The case is set to be heard before a SIAC tribunal in the first half of 2024.
  • Assisted in acting for several high-net-worth Indian nationals in enforcing a S$2.4 million foreign arbitral award before the General Division of the High Court.
  • Assisted in acting for an internationally renowned, award-winning architectural firm in defending a multi-million-dollar professional negligence claim. The case is set to be heard before a SIAC tribunal in the second half of 2023.
  • Assisted in acting for a leading independent private equity investment firm based out of Singapore and Seoul, their portfolio companies, and the subsidiaries of their portfolio companies in multiple ongoing shareholder, director, employee, and construction-related suits before the General Division of the High Court.
  • Assisted in acting for a leading Singapore-based property management and investment company in an ongoing multi-party dispute relating to various breaches of director’s duties before the General Division of the High Court.
  • Assisted in acting for Swiber Holdings Limited (In Judicial Management) and Swiber Offshore Construction Pte Ltd (In Judicial Management) (collectively, the “Companies”) in preparing an Independent Assessor’s Report for work done by their solicitors and Judicial Managers pertaining to the successful rehabilitation of the Companies’ US$3.2 billion debt.
  • Assisted in acting for the liquidators of Swina International Pte Ltd, an international commodities trading company, in their successful application for an indefinite stay of winding up.
  • Assisted in acting for a French multinational company in investigations against former employees who had allegedly misappropriated over S$1.5 million from the company.
