Providence Law Asia acts for woman in vegetative state in medical negligence suit against NUH and head neurosurgeon

Providence Law Asia has been instructed to act for Mdm Goh Guan Sin, 64, in a medical negligence suit against NUH and Dr Yeo Tseng Tsai, the Head of Neurosurgery at NUH.

Led by lead counsel Abraham Vergis, the Plaintiff’s lawyers, who are acting pro bono, contend that Mdm Goh became irreversibly vegetative due to the defendant doctor and hospital’s woeful failure in their duties to monitor and manage the patient’s post-operative complications appropriately.

The 30-day trial, which involved  8 expert neurosurgeons and radiologists, was heard over three tranches before Justice Tan Siong Thye. Closing oral submissions will be heard on 8 and 9 October 2019.
